Claims Examiner – Workers Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate workers' compensation claims for esteemed clients to ascertain the benefits owed.

• Ensure continuous adjudication of claims aligns with service expectations, industry standards, and specific client requirements.

• Analyze and manage claims through strategic action plans to achieve timely resolutions.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure effectively.

• Negotiate settlements within the authorized limits.

• Maintain clear communication regarding claim activities and processing with both claimants and clients.

• Report claims to excess carriers as necessary.

• Address requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Relevant professional certification related to the business line is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Knowledge of jurisdictional regulations in MS, AR, AL, TN, GA, and KY.

• Licensing in MS, AR, or a reciprocal state is necessary.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Possess excellent judgment, troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capable of managing work-related stress.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

• Competence in meeting deadlines.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and speaking skills.
