Claims Examiner I – Workers Compensation, FL, GA, NC, SC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate workers' compensation claims on behalf of clients to ascertain the benefits owed.

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims meets service expectations, industry standards, and client service mandates.

• Analyze and manage claims through action plans to achieve timely resolutions.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate settlements of claims within the established authority.

• Communicate updates regarding claims and processing to claimants and clients.

• Report claims to excess carriers as necessary.

• Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• Familiarity with licensing/jurisdiction requirements in FL, GA, NC, and SC.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding.

• Capable of hearing, seeing, and speaking effectively.

• Possess clear and conceptual thinking abilities.

• Demonstrate excellent judgment and discretion.

• Ability to adhere to deadlines.
