This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Evaluate and manage intricate bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation.
• Assess coverage and perform thorough investigations.
• Establish liability and analyze the extent of damages.
• Handle complex auto, commercial, and personal line claims, specifically focusing on bodily injury.
• Ensure that claim files are accurately documented and appropriately coded.
• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in litigation.
• Coordinate vendor management, which includes independent adjusters.
• Notify excess carriers about significant claims.
• Create and uphold action plans to adhere to state-mandated contact deadlines.
• Progress files towards timely and suitable resolutions.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation and risk transfer.
• Manage and dispose of salvage effectively.
• Communicate claim actions and processing updates to insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers.
• Contribute to the organization's quality assurance initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in claims management or a comparable combination of education and experience is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and regulations.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is advantageous.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.
• Proficient in using PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Obtain and maintain the necessary State adjusting licenses for the role.
• Proficient in keyboarding skills.
• Ability to hear, see, and speak.
