
Claims Examiner – Auto, Commercial Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Evaluate and manage intricate bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation.
• Assess coverage, conduct thorough investigations, establish liability, and appraise the extent of damages.
• Process complicated auto commercial and personal line claims, specifically focusing on bodily injury.
• Ensure that claim files are thoroughly documented and accurately coded.
• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in litigation.
• Coordinate vendor management, which includes engaging independent adjusters.
• Notify excess carriers about significant claims.
• Create and uphold action plans to ensure compliance with state-mandated contact deadlines and facilitate timely file resolution.
• Identify and seek out opportunities for subrogation and risk transfer.
• Manage the acquisition and disposal of salvage.
• Communicate claim actions and processing updates with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers.
• Contribute to the organization's quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of five (5) years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of personal and commercial auto policies, coverage options, principles, and relevant laws.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including strong presentation skills.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Must secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as necessary for the role.
• Competent in computer keyboarding.
• Proficient in hearing, vision, and verbal communication.
• Exhibits clear and conceptual thinking capabilities.
