
Claims Examiner, Auto – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Analyze and handle intricate bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation.
• Review insurance coverage and conduct thorough investigations.
• Assess liability and evaluate the extent of damages.
• Manage complex claims in both auto commercial and personal lines, including bodily injury cases.
• Ensure that claim files are accurately documented and coded.
• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in litigation.
• Coordinate vendor management, including independent adjusters.
• Report significant claims to excess carriers.
• Create and maintain action plans to adhere to state-required contact deadlines.
• Identify and seek out subrogation and risk transfer opportunities.
• Secure and manage the disposal of salvage.
• Communicate actions and processing of claims with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers.
• Support the organization's quality initiatives.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in claims management or an equivalent mix of education and experience is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and laws.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including abilities in presentations.
• Proficiency in using PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Must secure and maintain the necessary state adjusting licenses for this role.
• Capability to meet physical requirements for computer keyboarding.
• Ability to hear, see, and speak effectively.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent judgment and discretion in decision-making.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
