This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Deliver prompt, precise, and customer-centric information related to disability, life, and leave claims.
β’ Gather necessary details from callers and external resources to fulfill claim documentation requirements.
β’ Input detailed and accurate summaries into the claims system while engaging with customers.
β’ Process incoming documents with high coding precision and distribute them appropriately.
β’ Timely issue claim acknowledgment correspondence.
β’ Achieve or surpass call center performance metrics while adhering to operational standards.
β’ Exhibit empathy, professionalism, and authentic care during customer interactions.
β’ Anticipate customer needs and proactively take steps to assist them.
β’ Work with various product lines including STD, SDI, AM, LTD, Life, and AD&D.
β’ Provide support to callers in a dynamic call center environment.
β’ Document claim activities and deliver outstanding customer service.
β’ 2β3+ years of experience in customer service (call center or in-person).
β’ A bachelor's degree may be considered in place of experience.
β’ High school diploma or a college degree.
β’ High school diploma or GED.
β’ At least 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative support, call center, healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
β’ Experience in financial services, healthcare, or insurance is strongly preferred.
β’ Strong data entry skills (7,000+ KPH).
β’ Excellent verbal communication and proficient writing abilities.
β’ Capability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
β’ Comfortable working on a computer and phone throughout the day.
β’ Basic to moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
β’ Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and basic Excel.
β’ Ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
β’ Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
β’ Experience in insurance, disability, leave management, or claims is preferred.
β’ Preferred experience in healthcare or benefits administration.
β’ Experience in a high-volume call center setting is preferred.
β’ Bilingual skills are a plus.
