Senior Sales Support Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete RFP process, ensuring submissions are timely, precise, and of high quality.

• Utilize quoting platforms and tools to extract rates and benefit details, formatting this information into proposals.

• Collaborate with carrier partners to obtain underwritten quotes, manage follow-ups, and interpret quoting intricacies.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for both internal and external teams regarding quoting, carrier options, and benefit comparisons.

• Address escalated or complex quoting challenges.

• Develop, format, and maintain proposal documents that align with branding, compliance, and regulatory standards.

• Work in conjunction with sales team members to comprehend client requirements and tailor proposal content accordingly.

• Gather, analyze, and present benefit data along with pricing structures.

• Prioritize and handle multiple proposals in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments.

• Create and update spreadsheets containing detailed benefit information.

• Extract and organize Summary of Benefits and Coverage documents.

• Compile branded benefit booklets and sales packets.

• Ensure Salesforce CRM data accuracy, update documents, track opportunities, and maintain data integrity.

• Respond to sales support inquiries.

• Prepare client-facing presentations, internal sales documents, and communications.

• Organize, version-control, and maintain documentation related to proposals and the sales process.

• Utilize CRM and quoting tools to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the sales process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in proposal development, quoting, or sales support roles, ideally within the insurance, employee benefits, or a related sector.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including handling complex data sets, rate models, and comparative visuals.

• Familiarity with quoting systems and proposal generation tools.

• Proficient knowledge of Salesforce CRM or similar platforms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills combined with strong customer service abilities.

• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on deadlines and quality.

• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Experience in group insurance or employee benefits, including quoting processes, carrier platforms, and underwriting practices is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.

• Experience in training or mentoring junior sales support staff is preferred.

• Engagement in process improvement or technology enhancement initiatives is preferred.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Availability to work the 1st shift in the United States of America.
