This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Resolve cargo claims with government/military, corporate, or individual customers within 30 days of receiving them.
• Manage customer expectations while conducting thorough investigations into claims.
• Review customer communications and the terms of client contracts.
• Gather information from all parties involved in the claims process.
• Assign repair firms to evaluate damages and carry out repairs as necessary, while controlling costs.
• Assess liability and charge back the appropriate entities based on the findings.
• Verify and investigate all elements of the claims submitted.
• Maintain accurate records to support decisions for approval or denial.
• Instruct repair firms to provide detailed inspection and repair reports.
• Evaluate claimed-item values and consider repair alternatives against cash-out options.
• Differentiate between pre-existing damage and damage incurred during transit.
• Review carrier liability and present settlement proposals to clients.
• Negotiate disputes related to initial offers and finalize settlements.
• Complete various projects as assigned.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Claims or Customer Service environment.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in personal computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
