Claims Advocate Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Investigate, analyze, and respond to highly complex claims directed to Management, sent to Corporate Offices, or escalated from various lines of business.

• Manage a significant volume of claims while addressing multiple customer inquiries at the same time.

• Handle incoming communication via calls, chats, emails, and voicemails from customers and contractors in accordance with established guidelines.

• Provide support for inbound call volume and assist with back-office tasks as needed in other departments.

• Oversee an assigned caseload for prompt handling and resolution.

• Maintain relationships among Brokers, Sales Field, and Homeowners concerning claims activity.

• Present and explain the terms and conditions of claim options, including denials, cash outs, replacements, reimbursements, and outside reimbursements.

• Process payment requests efficiently.

• Lead innovative company initiatives.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Some college education is preferred.

• 3-5 years of prior customer service experience is required.

• Proven ability to manage complex claims effectively.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Basic mechanical, technical, and contract knowledge and comprehension.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and investigative skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook applications.

• Capability to navigate through Access.

• Fundamental knowledge of the home warranty industry.

• Ability to maintain composure during escalated discussions.
