Claims Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable resource for clients throughout the claims procedure.

• Assist clients in reporting claims and liaising with the appropriate carrier representatives.

• Guide clients in comprehending the claims process and advise on subsequent steps.

• Oversee claim activities and follow up on status updates, service issues, and communication gaps.

• Facilitate communication among clients, insurance carriers, producers, and account teams.

• Champion prompt, clear, and responsive communication on behalf of clients.

• Provide claim summaries and loss data to aid in account management and renewal discussions.

• Ensure accurate documentation is maintained within agency systems and carrier portals.

• Assist agency team members with claim-related resources, training, and carrier contacts.

• Identify complex or high-severity claims and escalate them as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably within an independent insurance agency.

• Background in claims support, client service, account management, or a similar role.

• Familiarity with commercial and personal lines insurance, as well as Workers' Compensation claims, is advantageous.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities while remaining organized and detail-oriented.

• Professional, empathetic, and client-centered approach to resolving issues.

• Proficient in using agency management systems, carrier portals, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Possession of an active insurance license or the ability to acquire and maintain licensing as required.

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory; a college degree is preferred.

• A valid driver's license is required when travel is necessary.

• Ability to uphold required licensing and continuing education standards.
