Claims Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee, investigate, and resolve commercial general liability property damage claims.

• Assess coverage, liability, and damages, and settle claims within designated authority limits.

• Propose final resolutions for assigned cases that exceed authority to local claims management.

• Analyze insurance coverage utilizing claim reports, policies, investigations, statutes, and case law.

• Interact with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to collect claim-related information.

• Delegate tasks to additional resources as needed and provide guidance on the correct course of action.

• Address written and phone inquiries, including updates on claim statuses.

• Adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.

• Achieve quality assurance standards and performance objectives.

• Handle a large volume of claims with various levels of complexity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in claims handling, including coverage and liability, or equivalent experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.

• Outstanding customer service skills, including active listening and empathy.

• Proficient in Mac systems, including Google and Microsoft applications.

• Skills, capabilities, and knowledge typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree.

• Must possess, or be able to quickly obtain, a Texas Independent Adjuster License.

• Experience with Commercial General Liability claims is required.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team.
