Claims Advisor, P&C Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold business relationships with members and clients regarding all claims.

• Manage complex property insurance claims and moderately complex accident benefit and bodily injury claims.

• Investigate and authorize claims.

• Perform investigations and inspections to evaluate damage, estimate costs and market value, and generate and review reports and other documentation to ascertain settlement amounts.

• Assess medical, financial, and employment information to determine benefit eligibility in line with statutory criteria.

• Resolve claims in compliance with organizational standards, policies, quality commitments, and contractual terms.

• Adhere to deadlines to guarantee client satisfaction and prevent penalties.

• Negotiate with all parties involved to facilitate seamless claims processing.

• Counsel and assist clients, represent Desjardins, and engage the organization in key agreements with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• College diploma in a relevant field.

• At least four years of pertinent experience.

• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be acceptable.

• Mutual fund representative certificate from Autorité des marchés financiers.

• Advanced proficiency in French.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel within the Gatineau area.

• Required on-call availability, estimated at one to two weeks per year.
