Claims Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate first-party injury claims

• Analyze insurance policy language, ascertain policy coverages, and establish reserves for Accident Benefit claims

• Research, negotiate, and resolve accident benefits claims of moderate to high complexity through phone, in-person meetings, and/or written communication

• Follow best practices outlined in Allstate's policies and procedures

• Comply with legislative and regulatory standards

• Ensure comprehensive documentation of files

• Resolve claims within personal authority and adhere to company protocols for claims that exceed personal authority

• Set and clarify customer service expectations

• Take initiative and responsibility to address customer issues

• Engage and interact with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, and attorneys in a professional manner

• Collaborate with a team of Accident Benefit Adjusters and Claims Assistants

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Accident Benefits, Bodily Injury, Property claims, Underwriting, and Sales

• Attainment of CIP designation or a willingness to pursue it

• Excellent time management and organizational capabilities

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Strong critical thinking abilities to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of claims

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a dedication to providing excellent customer service

• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a collaborative team setting
