Claims Adjuster – Workers Compensation, NC Licensing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and manage Workers Compensation claims through strategic action plans to ensure timely resolution.

• Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the established authority limits.

• Keep claimants and clients informed about claim activities and processing status.

• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for direction.

• Travel to hearings when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or a comparable mix of education and experience is required.

• Knowledge of NC licensing/jurisdiction is necessary.

• Willingness to travel to hearings as required; attendance at hearings is infrequent.

• Capability to manage work-related stress and handle multiple priorities at once.

• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Proficient computer keyboarding skills.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
