This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Evaluate and manage Workers Compensation claims through strategic action plans to ensure timely resolution.
β’ Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure.
β’ Negotiate claim settlements within the established authority limits.
β’ Keep claimants and clients informed about claim activities and processing status.
β’ Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for direction.
β’ Travel to hearings when necessary.
β’ A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
β’ Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or a comparable mix of education and experience is required.
β’ Knowledge of NC licensing/jurisdiction is necessary.
β’ Willingness to travel to hearings as required; attendance at hearings is infrequent.
β’ Capability to manage work-related stress and handle multiple priorities at once.
β’ Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
β’ Proficient computer keyboarding skills.
β’ Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
