Claims Adjuster – Workers Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate workers' compensation claims for clients to ascertain the benefits owed.

• Maintain the continuous adjudication of claims in alignment with service expectations, industry standards, and client specifications.

• Conduct investigations into claims and collect necessary information to assess claim exposure.

• Process claims through action plans to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions.

• Negotiate settlements of claims within the prescribed authority limits.

• Communicate updates on claim activities and processing to claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier.

• Address requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is advantageous.

• A minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• Florida licensing is mandatory.

• Knowledge of jurisdictions in Florida, Arizona, and Tennessee is essential.

• Capability to analyze and manage workers’ compensation claims.

• Proficiency in investigating claims and gathering information to assess exposure.

• Skill in negotiating claim settlements within the defined authority.

• Ability to communicate effectively regarding claim activities and processing to claimants and clients.

• Competence in reporting claims to excess carriers and addressing requests for guidance.

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• Excellent judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and discretion skills.

• Ability to manage work-related stress and handle multiple priorities concurrently.

• Capability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient keyboarding skills.
