Claims Adjuster – General Liability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate liability claims on behalf of clients to ascertain benefits owed

• Maintain the continuous adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards

• Investigate claims and collect information to assess claim exposure

• Process claims via action plans for suitable and prompt resolution

• Negotiate claim settlements within the assigned authority

• Communicate claim activities and processing updates to claimants and clients

• Report claims to excess carriers

• Respond in a professional and timely manner to requests for guidance

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred

• Minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

• Home State licensing is required

• Capability to analyze and process liability claims

• Ability to investigate claims and gather information to determine exposure

• Skill in negotiating settlements within the designated authority

• Proficient in communicating claim activities and processing with claimants and clients

• Competence in reporting claims to excess carriers and addressing requests for direction

• Clear and conceptual thinking aptitude

• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion

• Ability to manage work-related stress and handle multiple priorities simultaneously

• Capability to meet deadlines

• Proficient keyboarding skills

• Willingness to travel as necessary

• Abilities in hearing, vision, and speaking
