Claim Edit Specialist – Laboratory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee claims that have been returned due to failed scrub rules.

• Timely identification and resolution of payer rejections.

• Input charges and bills into the EMR, collaborating closely with the certified coding team and Coding manager.

• Keep track of missing charges and liaise with RCM management as necessary.

• Reach out to payers when required to address issues.

• Report trends that hinder successful claim submissions to RCM leadership.

• Maintain effective communication with Coding, AR/Follow-up, Patient Services, and Posting departments.

• Enter bills and charges with guidance from the certified coding team when needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a medical or insurance setting within a physician practice or billing company.

• Preferred experience in revenue cycle management.

• Completion of Modernizing Medicine University courses within the first 6 months of employment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Capability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, startup, results-oriented environment, along with outstanding organizational skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze extensive data sets.

• Capacity to collaborate and function effectively in a team environment.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
