Civil Estimator, EV Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and associated project documentation.

• Create detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil construction aspects related to EV charging infrastructure projects.

• Develop thorough and competitive project proposals and bid documentation.

• Assess project requirements and identify scope discrepancies, constructability issues, and project risks.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, operations teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the estimating process.

• Formulate pricing for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

• Apply unit-pricing databases and cost-estimating methods, including RSMeans, PlanSwift, and other industry-standard resources.

• Keep precise estimating records and historical cost databases.

• Assist in value engineering initiatives and suggest cost-saving alternatives.

• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, construction practices, and regulatory changes.

• Engage in daily team meetings and maintain regular communication with project stakeholders.

• Oversee multiple estimates concurrently while adhering to proposal deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in civil projects.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

• Prior experience with RSMeans and PlanSwift.

• CAD experience is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Capability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

• Ability to participate in daily virtual meetings.

• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
