This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee, manage, and provide support for Citrix applications to facilitate daily operations and ensure service continuity/business continuity planning (BCP).
• Set platform standards, conduct capacity planning, implement patching and upgrades, perform health checks, troubleshoot availability and performance issues, resolve problems, and manage licenses.
• Create, deliver, and maintain desktop operating system and application images.
• Engage in testing, provision desktops, configure and manage policies, and carry out housekeeping for desktop images.
• Administer and support Citrix environments utilizing Citrix Studio, Director, and PVS.
• Take part in Citrix Disaster Recovery Tests to support mission-critical IT service continuity/BCP planning.
• Educate desk-side support teams on end-user Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) support responsibilities.
• Address escalated user tickets (L3 support).
• Contribute to root cause analysis along with related documentation and communication.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects adhering to IT policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Provide off-hours support for emergency situations.
• Attend meetings, compliance activities, and job-related training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Bachelor’s degree or over 11 years of progressive work experience in Information Technology relevant to this position.
• More than 7 years of IT experience in a medium to large IT enterprise with established policies and procedures.
• At least 5 years of experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, ideally in versions CVAD 240x.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience deploying and managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using Citrix PVS and MCS.
• Over 5 years of experience with Citrix Studio, Director, and Citrix profile management.
• At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows OS versions 10 and 11, along with remote desktop management tools such as LogMeIn.
• More than 5 years of experience with Citrix NetScaler (ADC) appliances, both virtual and physical.
• Experience in configuring Azure desktops and their management.
• Solid understanding of Citrix platform disaster recovery capabilities, deployment, and support.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, 11, and related Microsoft tools such as SCCM.
• Familiarity with IT networks (LAN, WAN), routers, switches, etc.
• Strong technical knowledge, robust work ethic, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to swiftly comprehend new concepts and acquire new skills.
• Ability to follow documented standards and procedures, including change management, incident management, and problem management.
• Proficient in collaborating with vendor hardware and software engineers to escalate investigations and resolve issues.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a global team in an effective and collaborative manner.
• High level of energy, accountability, initiative, and creativity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Availability to provide off-hours support for emergency situations.
• Willingness to travel 5% - 10% of the time.
