Chinese Translator – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and enhance translations generated by AI

• Review and edit outputs produced by AI

• Perform translations between Chinese and English in both directions

• Identify and annotate errors

• Provide cultural or contextual insights

• Recommend enhancements for prompts, evaluation techniques, and model performance

• Document translation model shortcomings and offer recommendations to boost quality and consistency

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both Chinese and English

• Capable of evaluating and refining AI-generated translations for grammatical accuracy, fluency, cultural nuances, and context sensitivity

• Skilled in assessing idiomatic expressions, ambiguous phrases, and varying tones in formal and informal contexts

• Excellent and reflective communication skills

• Ability to clearly express translation decisions

• A background in professional translation, linguistics, localization, or language education is preferred

• Experience in technical, literary, or media translation is a strong indicator of suitability
