Child & Adolescent Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based therapy, case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children and adolescents aged 5–17.

• Perform assessments and create developmentally suitable care plans that align with patient treatment objectives.

• Ensure timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation via TimelyCare’s electronic health record system.

• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and educational professionals to provide comprehensive care.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as CBT, PCIT, TF-CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, and SFBT.

• Recognize safety issues, execute safety planning, and offer crisis intervention when required.

• Develop and sustain treatment goals alongside children, families, and relevant stakeholders.

• Comply with documentation quality standards and adhere to ethical practice guidelines.

• Create personalized treatment plans and foster rapport while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

• Maintain composure in high-pressure situations, responding with empathy and professionalism.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, independent licensure in New York as an LPC, LCPC, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D., LP/LCP).

• Associate therapists are not eligible.

• Experience or certification in evidence-based pediatric and adolescent treatment modalities, including TF-CBT, Play Therapy, or trauma-informed care.

• Strong skills in clinical documentation, assessment, diagnosis, and active listening.

• Experience engaging with children, adolescents, and families, particularly in telehealth, school-based services, outpatient mental health, or community mental health environments.

• Expertise in crisis intervention/de-escalation and safety/treatment planning.

• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate interventions and family systems approaches.

• Valid U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not available.
