Chief of Staff – CFO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the CFO's and strategy team's cross-functional strategic initiatives, which include defining scope, establishing milestones, assigning owners, maintaining a weekly schedule, providing executive status updates, and escalating early blockers.

• Take ownership of a program that encompasses eight functional domains, including Accounting, controls, IT, cybersecurity, and People.

• Manage workstreams in collaboration with external auditors and legal advisors.

• Facilitate Finance goal-setting, conduct regular check-ins, report on progress, and track commitments across the CFO's direct reports.

• Spearhead Finance AI enablement and create practical workflow tools, such as templates for performance reviews, talent review intake processes, and tracking of action items.

• Measure and report on the impact of AI through metrics such as hours saved and user adoption rates.

• Conduct Finance talent evaluations, administer pulse surveys, and promote team learning initiatives.

• Establish the framework for determining where Abnormal can engage in sales, transactions, and hiring.

• Lead efforts in ESG engagement.

• Provide weekly one-page executive status updates, ensure commitments are met timely, and make any potential deadline extensions apparent early on.

• Represent the CFO in leadership contexts and influence operating practices within a swiftly growing AI security firm.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in a Chief of Staff, program management, strategy and operations, or consulting role.

• Preferably, experience in Finance or a background with a late-stage, high-growth SaaS organization.

• Proven history of managing multi-stakeholder programs with strict deadlines, such as audits, system implementations, or compliance initiatives.

• Capability to transform ambiguity into assigned tasks and timelines, initiating programs from a clean slate.

• Exceptional writing skills and a strong executive presence.

• Proficient in representing the CFO in leadership environments.

• Ability to enforce deadlines and hold senior personnel accountable.

• Experience utilizing AI to enhance work processes and the ability to showcase built solutions.

• MBA or equivalent experience is preferred (nice to have).

• Experience in AI or cybersecurity SaaS is a plus (nice to have).

• Background in Finance talent and cultural programs is advantageous (nice to have).
