This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and spearhead a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with Family Promise's mission, enterprise priorities, and growth objectives.
• Manage and enhance Family Promise's brand, positioning, narrative, messaging, and reputation throughout the organization and its Affiliate network.
• Convert organizational priorities into annual plans, budgets, baselines, performance metrics, and investment sequencing.
• Provide counsel to the CEO, senior leadership team, and Board regarding brand, reputation, audience engagement, communications, and marketing opportunities and risks.
• Establish Family Promise and its leaders as authoritative national figures on family homelessness and community-based solutions.
• Direct content creation, storytelling, media relations, and executive communications strategies.
• Develop an editorial and storytelling framework utilizing resources from the national network.
• Oversee marketing strategies for the digital ecosystem, encompassing the national website and Affiliate digital experiences.
• Identify priority audiences, define channel roles, user journeys, and integrated approaches across web, email, social media, search, paid media, and emerging channels.
• Create analytics and measurement systems to evaluate performance, enhance conversion rates, and inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate with Development and other teams on donor engagement, campaigns, service navigation, and Affiliate interaction.
• Establish and manage the marketing and communications function, focusing on structure, capabilities, operating models, workflows, and planning cycles.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team.
• Oversee agencies, consultants, and external partners with defined scopes, budgets, and performance expectations.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships and tools for Development, Programs, Advocacy, Affiliate Services, and local Affiliates.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, public relations, branding, or related fields, including substantial senior leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record in establishing or transforming integrated marketing and communications functions, teams, or operating models in complex nonprofit, mission-driven, corporate, agency, association, or multi-stakeholder settings.
• Extensive expertise in brand strategy, positioning, messaging, content creation, public/media relations, executive communications, digital marketing, audience strategy, analytics, and performance measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage teams and external partners, advise senior executives and Boards, and distill complex issues into clear, compelling communications.
