Chief Information Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a long-term enterprise technology strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and expansion plans.

• Manage the IT department, which encompasses enterprise applications, infrastructure, end-user support, and IT operations; focus on hiring, developing, and retaining top-tier talent.

• Take charge of the information security and compliance strategy, collaborating with Legal and Security teams to mitigate risks, facilitate audits and certifications, and safeguard both company and customer data.

• Supervise the enterprise application ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration, reliability, and an exceptional user experience.

• Collaborate with the CFO and General Counsel on technology budgeting, vendor selection, procurement, and contract negotiations to maximize expenditure efficiency and manage third-party risk effectively.

• Establish data governance, analytics, and reporting infrastructures that provide leadership with reliable and timely insights.

• Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and robust infrastructure supporting a globally distributed workforce.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board regarding technology risks, investments, and opportunities.

• Lead significant cross-functional projects, including system implementations, migrations, and process transformations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including more than 5 years in a senior position managing enterprise IT at a software or technology firm.

• A proven history of establishing enterprise technology strategy and executing large-scale transformation initiatives.

• Extensive expertise in information security, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

• Practical experience with enterprise platforms.

• Demonstrated capability in assessing and implementing AI and automation tools within an enterprise context.

• Strong financial knowledge, including budget management, vendor oversight, and contract negotiations.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to influence executives and convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in leading distributed, global teams.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
