This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of Rythm’s comprehensive financial strategy encompassing FP&A, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, cash planning, and reporting.
• Lead and further develop the Finance & Accounting team.
• Collaborate with the Co-Founders and Board on company strategy, growth initiatives, hiring, investments, and resource distribution.
• Create financial models that address growth scenarios, business direction, and investment priorities.
• Spearhead future capital raises and nurture investor relationships.
• Formulate capital and financing strategies.
• Conduct financial planning amidst ongoing growth and investment.
• Provide department leaders with insights into budgets, spending, objectives, and financial performance.
• Establish key financial and operational metrics and develop performance reporting.
• Enhance the assessment of customer acquisition, retention, subscriptions, testing, lab operations, and other business economics.
• Collaborate with lab and operations teams regarding cost per test, inventory, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Supervise accounting, audits, taxation, revenue recognition, controls, compliance, and clinical-lab financial obligations.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting for the Board, investors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Assess business models, partnerships, strategic opportunities, and potential acquisitions.
• Strengthen purchasing, invoice approvals, cost center management, and other financial operations.
• Advance the finance technology stack across accounting, AP, expenses, payroll, payments, and reporting through automation and AI.
• Develop scalable finance processes and documentation.
• Question assumptions, identify risks, and guide leadership towards improved decision-making.
• Over 10 years of strategic and advanced finance experience with substantial leadership responsibilities.
• Background in a high-growth, venture-backed, or startup environment.
• Strong expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting, cash management, and strategic finance.
• Demonstrated capability to build and expand a finance team along with its associated systems and processes.
• Proven experience collaborating directly with Founders.
• Experience in fundraising, Board reporting, investor relations, and capital planning is highly desirable.
• Relevant experience in healthcare, consumer health, diagnostics, DTC, subscription services, or technology-enabled healthcare.
• Familiarity with businesses that involve physical products, inventory, laboratory operations, or supply chain management is a plus.
