This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Assist in the development, integration, and delivery of Flight Control products and Landing Systems.
• Take ownership of various smaller programs within the Precision Landing and Controls portfolio.
• Provide expertise in Certification Planning and Execution concepts.
• Serve as the single point of contact for engineering in technical development program management.
• Collaborate with customers and both internal and external teams during the definition and implementation phases.
• Establish a system to produce metrics and provide immediate feedback on progress, risks, and schedule performance.
• Foster a team culture focused on accountability and success.
• Convert customer expectations into actionable project plans with VSLs and SMEs.
• Lead program-level cost estimations during the RLPM bid cycle.
• Oversee technical and project execution elements of bids and proposals.
• Manage program-level scope and change management processes.
• Develop and maintain program-level and integrated intermediate-level schedules.
• Manage critical paths and key dependencies effectively.
• Lead Engineering milestone events as required by RTX Program Lifecycle Management.
• Proactively identify and minimize potential problem areas; adjust project plans as needed.
• Mentor junior project leaders and aspiring managers.
• Engage with Engineering Management, Engineering Developers, Program Management, Business Development, and Finance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory; only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information related to this program/contract.
• Extensive technical experience in Flight Controls.
• Proven success in leading programs to DO-178 certifications and navigating Stages of Involvement Audit cycles.
• Familiarity with policies and procedures governing military and commercial aircraft products.
• Demonstrated track record of timely delivery while leading teams.
• Established history of steering teams to achieve exceptional execution results across complex programs.
• A STEM degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field coupled with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Preferred: experience in leading Model Based Development Flight Controls projects to DO-178 certifications.
• Preferred: prior experience in leading Project and People teams.
• Preferred: experience in negotiating scope and schedule commitments both internally and externally.
• Preferred: past success in Program Recovery efforts.
• Preferred: exposure to aircraft operations and/or be a licensed pilot.
