Chief Data Scientist, Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product engineers and designers to enhance acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, and overall customer experience.

• Partner with marketing, finance, and operations teams to identify growth opportunities and refine business decision-making.

• Promote and support experimentation and frameworks for decision-making.

• Establish KPIs and success metrics.

• Utilize statistical analysis, forecasting, causal inference, and machine learning to analyze user behavior and business performance.

• Identify high-impact opportunities by analyzing user journeys, lifecycle, conversion funnels, and financial outcomes.

• Provide data-driven insights on impact, trade-offs, and return on investment to support team and company priorities.

• Develop dashboards, models, and self-service tools.

• Work alongside the data team to ensure a shared and consistent data layer.

• Cultivate a culture of experimentation, curiosity, and evidence-based decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, growth analytics, experimentation, or related roles within high-growth settings.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.

• In-depth knowledge of experimentation, causal inference, statistical analysis, forecasting, and KPI design.

• Strong product and business acumen, with the capability to link user behavior to business results.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with marketing, finance, operations, or product teams.

• Ability to work autonomously and lead ambiguous projects from conception to execution.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decisions using data and logical reasoning.

• Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple projects with great attention to detail.

• Curiosity, agility, and a proactive approach in fast-paced environments.

• Strong understanding of dashboarding and data visualization tools.

• Eagerness to learn and develop in a dynamic setting.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
