Associate Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in data science projects that enhance business profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and/or Senior Data Scientists to create solutions using advanced analytical techniques and algorithms.

• Design and implement algorithms and models on large datasets to derive business insights.

• Perform analyses to address business challenges and carry out tasks with efficiency and high quality.

• Consult with Data Scientists or Senior Data Scientists regarding the selection, application, and interpretation of advanced analytical techniques.

• Familiarize yourself with assigned business areas and integrate business-specific knowledge into the solutions.

• Convey insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist in the creation of project reports, updates, and presentations.

• Emphasize the potential impacts of recommendations to promote alignment and implementation.

• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new methodologies.

• Continuously enhance data analytics skills and identify opportunities to apply new knowledge.

• Report to a manager or higher; no direct reports involved.

• No travel is required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study is required.

• Preferred: A Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with a modern scripting language, preferably Python.

• Experience conducting queries on data, ideally using Google BigQuery or SQL.

• Background in predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis.

• Proficient with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau.

• Experience applying statistical techniques to uncover key insights.

• Basic knowledge or exposure to prescriptive modeling, including optimization, computer vision, recommendations, search, or NLP.

• Basic knowledge or experience with predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis.
