Chief Builder, Distinguished Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Create and facilitate practical internal technical training for Solution Engineers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Professional Services, Customer Success, and partner technologists.

• Develop the curriculum, certification pathways, office hours, lab environments, and a champions network across various regions and teams.

• Establish standards for builds that are tested, governed, reversible, and easily explainable.

• Publish reusable reference patterns and build references derived from field experiences.

• Oversee the most challenging technical engagements and discussions with senior customers.

• Articulate the safety of technical modifications to CIOs and other high-level stakeholders.

• Communicate field gaps, critical issues, and effective patterns back to the Product team.

• Cultivate a network of technical leaders capable of scaling the capability autonomously.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in solution engineering, technical architecture, forward deployed engineering, or professional services, including a significant tenure at the most senior technical level within a field organization.

• Extensive working knowledge of the Salesforce platform and its metadata, encompassing Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, the Metadata API, packaging, and release management.

• Practical experience utilizing AI coding agents in daily operations.

• Proven experience in scaling a capability from a small group of experts to a large number of practitioners, with a measurable effect on performance.

• Established trust and credibility with SEs, architects, and service leads through hands-on building.

• Capability to convey technical decisions to engineers, executives, and clients.

• Openness to travel as required.

• A degree or equivalent relevant experience is mandatory.

• Salesforce certifications at the architect level are preferred.

• Experience in developing or managing a technical community or champions program is preferred.

• Familiarity with Marketing Cloud, Revenue Cloud, or Data 360 is preferred.
