Chief Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop strategies to sell and deliver value-driven solutions that align with the client's business vision, strategy, goals, and objectives.

• Collaborate with clients to identify challenges and design effective, value-added solutions and processes.

• Connect the client's mission strategy to IT strategy and document programs and projects that address organizational needs.

• Design and maintain architecture roadmaps that outline current and target-state architectures.

• Partner with delivery teams to create transition plans and ensure sustainable execution.

• Set architecture standards, design patterns, and technology reference models.

• Oversee adoption, compliance, and manage exception approvals.

• Keep technology roadmaps updated, manage technical debt, and plan for modernization and end-of-life migrations.

• Assess cutting-edge technologies and guide future IT and business growth strategies.

• Advocate for engineering practices such as DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, code quality, and security-by-design.

• Provide in-depth understanding of business capabilities, processes, data, and related topics.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI/ML, Gen AI, and Agentics AI technologies.

• Convert business issues and opportunities into business requirements and technical/process solutions.

• Choose appropriate delivery teams and lead solution implementation utilizing project management best practices.

• Identify growth opportunities while monitoring business challenges and objectives within contracts.

• Create and present materials that address prospects’ business challenges and requirements.

• Conduct market, product, and competitor research.

• Assist in proposal development and respond to RFIs and RFPs.

• Address or coordinate responses to technical and architectural inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required minimum clearance to start: Public Trust.

• M.A./M.S./PhD degree from an accredited institution.

• Over 15 years of experience leading solution delivery for US Government clients.

• Previous experience managing senior technical staff.

• Knowledge of the US Government market, focusing on solution development consolidation.

• Prior experience in managing the design, development, and delivery of multiple enterprise systems, preferably for the Federal Government.

• Previous project management experience on enterprise programs (preferred).

• Experience fulfilling necessary qualifications on Agile programs (preferred).

• Up to 10% travel may be required.

• Experience leveraging emerging technologies to address modern business challenges.

• Understanding of contemporary business models and technology strategies.

• Proven experience leading and managing technology-based consulting projects and solving complex problems.
