Chef Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee kitchen operations to ensure the utmost standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

• Manage and mentor a small kitchen team, cultivating a positive working atmosphere.

• Supervise menu development, inventory management, and supplier relationships.

• Maintain precise financial records including budgeting, ordering, and stock rotation.

• Ensure adherence to food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding policies.

• Collaborate with the school community to deliver a friendly and efficient catering service.

• Implement and advocate for allergen controls.

• Provide fresh, high-quality meals for students, staff, and visitors.

• Handle daily kitchen operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar role within contract catering, preferably in the Independent Education sector.

• Background in hospitality.

• Strong leadership and kitchen management capabilities.

• Enthusiastic about utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients to craft balanced and appealing menus.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

• Understanding of food safety standards, allergen management, and best practices for sustainability.

• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Barred List check, is mandatory for successful candidates.
