This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with the Go to Market team to expand Avela's charter-sector business.
• Drive demand and develop the sales pipeline through direct outreach, field events, marketing initiatives, and referral networks.
• Manage deals throughout the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and meetings to closing.
• Grasp Avela's go-to-market strategy, ideal customer profile, product offerings, pricing, and packaging.
• Create target lists utilizing LinkedIn, RocketReach, Clay, and district websites.
• Initiate outbound emails and conduct cold calls.
• Assist with outbound marketing campaigns and participate in charter conferences.
• Schedule and attend meetings; demonstrate the product and engage specialists for high-priority demonstrations.
• Utilize professional and technical services specialists effectively.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and influencers.
• Comprehend decision-making processes and political dynamics.
• Follow up with prospects; prepare proposals and quotes.
• Manage pricing, negotiations, contracting, and procurement processes.
• Accurately enter information into HubSpot.
• Ensure contract information is synchronized with TABS and monitor TABS to confirm invoices are paid.
• Coordinate internally to identify the Customer Success Manager (CSM).
• Introduce clients to the CSM and implementation team.
• Participate in the initial kickoff call to guarantee a seamless transition to implementation.
• Candidates must reside within one hour of Avela's hubs in San Francisco or Boston.
• Preference will be given to candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Boston.
• A minimum of 4 years of full-time professional experience is required.
• At least 2 years in a charter administration role, ideally within a large CMO/network in operational capacities such as CEO/Executive Director, Enrollment, Student Services, Accountability, or Operations.
• A strong passion for education, equity, or social impact is essential.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• A growth-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000.
• Bonus: $70,000 - $120,000+
• Equity: Approximately 5,000 Shares.
