Chargeback Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Review electronic documentation.

• Identify and validate transaction details.

• Establish non-fraud dispute cases within the Velera processing platform.

• Manage incoming fraud and/or non-fraud cardholder dispute cases.

• Investigate and resolve cardholder claims of fraud and/or errors.

• Process chargebacks and recover funds.

• Adhere to card association and regulatory guidelines and timelines.

• Mitigate financial losses.

• Maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy.

• Deliver exceptional service to cardholders and credit unions.

• Clearly explain intricate information and apply sound judgment in decision-making.

• Uphold confidentiality and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is required.

• An Associate's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is preferred.

• At least one (1) year of experience in payments is preferred.

• General understanding of card brand processing (e.g., Visa) is preferred.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to deliver presentations using audiovisual support tools.

• Excellent reading comprehension and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail.

• Outstanding organizational, time management, and quantitative skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Discretion and good judgment are essential.

• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Flexibility and capability to work under pressure in a complex environment.
