This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
β’ Accurately input all clinical charges into the practice management system.
β’ Support a multi-specialty setting with a primary emphasis on Workers' Compensation.
β’ Oversee the daily operations of the Workers' Compensation charge entry team.
β’ Ensure precise and prompt posting of Workers' Compensation charges in accordance with payer requirements and internal service level agreements (SLAs).
β’ Monitor work queues, productivity, and aging for the timely resolution of assigned tasks.
β’ Review quality audits and mentor staff to enhance accuracy and minimize rework.
β’ Act as the main escalation point for intricate Workers' Compensation billing or charge entry concerns.
β’ Collaborate with coding, billing, denial management, clinic operations, and other revenue cycle teams.
β’ Serve as a liaison between clinic personnel and the Charge Entry team regarding charge holds and documentation issues.
β’ Ensure adherence to state-specific Workers' Compensation billing regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
β’ Train, onboard, and assist new Workers' Compensation charge entry staff.
β’ Identify trends in errors, denials, charge holds, and workflow delays, and recommend process enhancements.
β’ Develop, maintain, and distribute operational reports on productivity, quality, backlog, charge holds, turnaround times, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
β’ Analyze reporting data to pinpoint workflow enhancements and operational efficiencies.
β’ Provide revenue cycle coverage as needed.
β’ Execute other assigned tasks.
β’ 3-5+ years of experience in medical billing or charge entry.
β’ Strong understanding of California Workers' Compensation billing rules and requirements.
β’ Previous experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory role is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with EHR/PM systems (e.g., IMS, ECW, Prognosis, or similar).
β’ Strong attention to detail and comprehension of CPT/ICD coding fundamentals.
β’ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
β’ Must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.
β’ Availability for Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
