This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Strategize and oversee change management for informatics projects.
• Assist clinicians, informaticists, and field personnel in embracing new workflows, standards, and systems.
• Support specialty areas in Interoperability and Clinical Informatics Solutions, including Federal EHR transitions, standardized clinical workflows, informatics workforce programs, and the adoption of health information exchange.
• Conduct change management assessments and formulate change strategies.
• Create transition plans and incorporate change management activities into project plans and process improvement roadmaps.
• Develop communication strategies, roadmaps, coaching approaches, training outlines, and resistance management strategies.
• Identify and assess stakeholders throughout VHA Central Office, VISNs, and VA medical centers, while engaging senior leadership.
• Recognize and address anticipated resistance, even in unionized settings.
• Evaluate and support user preparedness for Federal EHR transitions, workflow standardization, and the implementation of new informatics tools.
• Encourage the adoption of health information exchange capabilities and standardized clinical content through networks, such as the Health Informatics Community of Practice.
• Assist in organizational design and clarify roles and responsibilities, including modifications to field informaticists’ duties.
• Define and assess success metrics, monitor change progress, and track and report issues.
• Engage in PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration ceremonies, and system demonstrations; align change initiatives with feature delivery.
• Collaborate within SAFe Agile Release Trains alongside OCI’s change management lead, clinical informaticists, and VA Business Owners.
• A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in change management or organizational transformation.
• Proven experience in developing change management deliverables, including communication plans, training plans, and resistance management strategies.
• Experience with stakeholder analysis and engagement, particularly with senior leaders.
• Experience in assessing change adoption and user readiness.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA background investigation at the level designated for the position.
• Must reside and work in the United States and possess U.S. work authorization.
• Prosci certification is required.
• Experience applying change management principles in a union environment.
• Background in change management within healthcare organizations, particularly related to EHR transitions.
• Experience supporting VA or VHA initiatives.
• Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation is preferred.
• A degree in organizational psychology, business, health care administration, or a related field is advantageous.
• Familiarity with working on SAFe or Scrum teams is a plus.
