CFO & EV Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Assist in finance transformation initiatives for utility CFO and controller organizations, encompassing finance process redesign, solution development, data migration, testing, training, implementation, and post-launch adoption.

• Lead or participate in workstreams related to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets/capital accounting, Project Accounting, Intercompany transactions, and regulatory/FERC reporting.

• Create and implement utilities Fixed Asset and capital accounting functions, including Construction Work in Progress (CWIP), unitization, asset retirement obligations, depreciation analysis, regulatory asset treatment, and integration with Projects and General Ledger.

• Develop business cases, value architectures, and key performance indicator baselines that connect finance capabilities to outcomes such as expedited closing processes, enhanced forecast accuracy, rate-case preparedness, and decreased cost-to-serve.

• Examine finance process data, cleanse legacy datasets, and ensure cutover readiness validation.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders, Accenture delivery teams, product teams, integration teams, testing teams, training teams, and offshore resources.

• Facilitate scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, user story creation, acceptance criteria development, demonstrations, and defect management.

• Deliver hands-on training, coaching, and support for utilities finance users, super users, and project team members.

• Assist in cutover activities, deployment readiness, change management, and communication with stakeholders.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance delivery methods, solution quality, and collaboration between teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in finance transformation consulting, including process design, controllership, closing optimization, or CFO advisory roles.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience implementing or supporting ERP Finance solutions, such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle Cloud ERP, across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Fixed Assets.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Fixed Asset/capital accounting, covering capitalization, depreciation, and integration with Projects.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience dealing with finance process data, including designing chart of accounts, reconciling sub-ledger to ledger, data migration, or finance master data management.

• At least 1 year of experience working with utility clients or in a utilities finance, controllership, or regulatory role.

• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of equivalent work experience.

• If possessing an Associate's degree, 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
