Certified Residential Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform impartial and objective evaluations of market areas, statistical data, and relevant property information.

• Assess data and formulate property value estimates in accordance with guidelines set by the government, the company, regulatory boards, and clients.

• Record on-site evaluations using photographs, measurements, comparable sales data, and demographic details.

• Create land diagrams and other illustrative materials.

• Analyze factors affecting property value, including land characteristics, neighborhood dynamics, trends, forthcoming community developments, shopping centers, educational institutions, parks, construction status, unique features, and functional design.

• Prepare fee estimates.

• Present assessments and property value estimates to home buyers, sellers, investors, lenders, leasing agents, and real estate professionals.

• Collaborate with the Lead Appraiser to address requests and suggest process enhancements.

• Attend monthly Appraiser meetings.

• Adhere to departmental turnaround expectations and appropriately escalate any delays.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience in a mortgage and/or appraisal firm.

• Preferred background in REO appraisals.

• Experience with HUD/FHA processes.

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• Ability to operate within varying client-driven deadlines.

• Outstanding analytical and narrative writing capabilities.

• Proficiency in data analysis, drawing logical conclusions, and summarizing findings.

• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, accuracy-focused environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Competence in delivering clear and comprehensible messages to appraisers, vendors, and operational teams.

• Good organizational abilities with the capacity to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and follow up effectively.

• Active Appraiser license or certification as mandated by the state's regulatory agency.

• Certified Appraisers residing within the continental United States are encouraged to apply.
