Certified Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Prepare patient records and carry out intake-related tasks, which include reaching out to patients to gather and confirm current medication lists and other relevant health details.

• Acquire, monitor, and process essential patient consents, forms, and documentation.

• Review incoming patient communications and route, escalate, or respond as needed under clinical supervision.

• Engage with patients regarding scheduling, rescheduling, appointment logistics, and general inquiries.

• Request, receive, and organize medical records from external providers and healthcare facilities.

• Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records in compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.

• Uphold Adjuvant Behavioral Health's dedication to providing high-quality, accessible behavioral healthcare for oncology patients, their families, and caregivers.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, regulatory, and organizational standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Certified Medical Assistant certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or patient support setting.

• Familiarity with working within an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system.

• Experience supporting behavioral health, psychiatry, oncology, or telehealth practices.

• Proficient in communicating with patients via phone and electronic messaging platforms.

• Knowledge of healthcare documentation, patient intake processes, and medical records management.
