This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate with and provide guidance to attorneys regarding injury cases utilizing medical expertise.
β’ Assess intricate medical information and deliver knowledgeable, impartial opinions on medical-legal issues.
β’ Examine and condense medical records, highlighting essential points and significant details.
β’ Ascertain the long-term medical needs of an injured individual and project associated care costs.
β’ Create medical record chronologies or timelines utilizing authorized client reporting templates.
β’ Objectively and truthfully assess case details.
β’ Investigate and reference medical sources and professional literature pertinent to cases.
β’ Engage professionally with EKHS personnel, members of the medical community, and clients through both oral and written communication.
β’ Conduct all tasks within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ A minimum of 2β3 years of experience as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, ideally in defense work.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in a similar or related position is preferred.
β’ Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
β’ Med-legal coursework is preferred.
β’ A valid state-appropriate RN license in good standing with no restrictions.
β’ Active LNC Certification is required, preferably from AALNC.
β’ Possess the professional and technical skills of a Registered Nurse.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Strong interpersonal abilities.
β’ Excellent organizational capabilities.
β’ High level of comfort with computers and software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, Email).
β’ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
β’ Capability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
β’ Must demonstrate accuracy and efficiency.
β’ Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
β’ Must sit and use a keyboard for the majority of an 8-hour workday, excluding lunch and break periods.
β’ Manual dexterity is required.
β’ Ability to communicate on the telephone intermittently throughout the day.
β’ Must be fluent in reading and writing English.
β’ Must ensure and verify a safe, HIPAA-compliant home office environment.
β’ A DSL, fiber, or cable internet connection from home is required; 100 Mbps or higher is preferred.
β’ Proof of liability insurance is necessary for independent contractor status.
β’ Fully remote position, allowing you to work from home.
β’ Flexible contractor schedule, accommodating up to 20β25 hours per month as needed.
