This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.
• Facilitate the instructional program through both synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions utilizing Class Zoom.
• Assess assignments in a timely manner and deliver high-quality, individualized feedback.
• Maintain regular communication with students and teachers to update pacing plans and schedules.
• Utilize data to track assignment completion and promote consistent engagement in the course.
• Review curriculum and identify necessary modifications for students requiring IEP or 504 accommodations.
• Create alternative enrichment activities and lesson adjustments for students who are struggling or at risk.
• Cultivate a broad understanding of the curriculum while developing in-depth knowledge of the courses assigned.
• Interact with students through phone, chat, and WebMail.
• Ensure the safety and confidentiality of student information while adhering to FERPA and Copyright & Fair Use regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student performance and participation by grading assessments and documenting interactions with students and parents.
• Hold regular office hours that total at least 3 hours per week.
• Employ online communication tools to foster relationships and support student success.
• Create a welcoming and supportive online environment for students and their families.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach CTE: Medical.
• Possess a valid state teaching certificate in Texas or Michigan.
• Have completed a traditional teacher preparation program, excluding alternative certification.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Attain a degree from an accredited college or university.
• Capability to obtain certification in other states as needed.
• Provide timely feedback to students and grade assessments within designated timeframes.
• Participate in supervisor check-in meetings twice a month or as scheduled.
• Availability to work a full-time shift from 10 am to 4 pm Eastern Time.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands flexibility, prioritization, self-direction, and creativity.
• Knowledge of IEP/504 plans and their virtual implementation.
• Strong technological skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Apps is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Keen attention to detail along with strong time-management and organizational skills.
