This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gabon.

📋 Description

• Examine medical records to ensure accurate billing practices.

• Engage in audits to assess the accuracy of selected codes.

• Create strategies to enhance identified coding challenges.

• Confirm that codes adhere to quality assurance standards, Official Coding Guidelines, and Risk Adjustment Guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPC certification is mandatory from AAPC.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Positive demeanor, enthusiastic, and energetic.

• Minimum of one year of prior experience in medical billing.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced team setting and manage time efficiently.

• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.

• Thorough understanding of ICD-10-CM classification systems.

• Competence in reading and analyzing patient records to assign accurate medical codes for billing.

• Proficient in coding using an ICD-10-CM code book without reliance on an encoder.

• Dependability and dedication to meeting strict deadlines.

• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Windows, MS Office, and the Internet.

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, written and oral communication, and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with HIPAA and a commitment to the privacy, security, and confidentiality of medical chart documentation.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Knowledge of insurance collections, including verification and follow-up activities to ensure claim payments.

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Capability to push or pull heavy items utilizing up to 50 pounds of force.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.

• Capability to stand for prolonged durations.

• Proficiency in fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery.

• Ability to receive and understand verbal or written instructions.

• Capacity to apply logical reasoning for both simple and complex problem-solving.

• Willingness to travel to various locations as necessary.
