This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Manage the scheduling, cancellation, rescheduling, and registration of outpatient visits and procedures across multiple ambulatory clinics.
• Gather all necessary information to prepare for scheduling and registration.
• Annually obtain and verify patient guarantor information, generating referrals as necessary.
• Schedule and register patients/customers in accordance with established scheduling guidelines and medical appropriateness.
• Identify and communicate any scheduling adjustments and development needs.
• Inform relevant personnel about scheduling alterations resulting from patient cancellations.
• Address the needs and complaints of patients and staff, involving supervisors and patient representatives when necessary.
• Consult with referring physician offices to ensure that written or electronic orders are available and obtain them as required.
• Verify the completeness of written orders and notes, and document requested external orders.
• Complete Workques and tasks related to daily scheduling activities.
• Respond promptly to patient communications.
• Escalate urgent issues to the appropriate area of responsibility.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Completion of a state criminal background check and federal checks (if applicable), as mandated for regulated areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to sit for prolonged periods.
