This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer expertise in enhancing clinical documentation processes and support data analytics teams, oversight committees, and senior leadership.

• Gather, integrate, monitor, interpret, and design relevant data analytically.

• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, reliability, and interpretation of data through various applications.

• Conduct analytical tasks with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of projects and report/data production.

• Assess problems, verify assumptions, gather information, and derive significant insights.

• Review technologies and software capabilities to enhance information delivery to leadership.

• Collaborate with WVU Medicine and vendors; manage and escalate incidents and issues for resolution.

• Act as a leading member of process improvement teams.

• Test applications, create system test scripts, utilize automated testing software, and perform functional and usability testing alongside IT.

• Provide expertise in analytics, requirements, outcomes, interpretation, and development.

• Establish and maintain databases and workflows; offer detailed analytics and data validation.

• Consult with team members, providers, and leadership regarding data interpretation.

• Assist in staffing for CDI as needed.

• Contribute to performance monitoring and capacity planning for assigned applications.

• Fulfill end-user requests related to application and interface support or modifications.

• Troubleshoot issues, identify solutions or requested changes, and update end users on work status.

• Conduct departmental and user needs assessments for operational support, problem resolution, and application modifications.

• Create, test, and maintain reports while identifying opportunities to enhance analysis and reporting data.


⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree OR three years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient/ambulatory or inpatient acute care setting OR three years of clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient/ambulatory or inpatient acute care setting.

• Certification in one of the following: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CRC, CCDS, CCDS-O, CDIP, CDEI, or CDEO.

• A minimum of two years of CDI experience.

• At least three years of experience with computer applications, including Excel, 3M360, Epic, Word, Tableau, and PowerPoint.

• Preferred experience in data extraction.

• Preferred experience in developing and maintaining metrics and communication dashboards.

• Preferred experience in Revenue Cycle.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, 3M360, Epic, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent organizational and presentation abilities.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Familiarity with provider healthcare compliance, revenue cycle operations, and auditing techniques.

• Capability to mentor, educate, and train others.

• Ability to uphold quality and productivity standards.

• Capacity to manage high-stress and critical situations with composure and professionalism.

• Skill to concentrate and maintain accuracy amidst interruptions.

• Independent decision-making capability.

• Ability to prioritize job responsibilities effectively.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in the workplace and job assignments.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Competence in office software programs, including medical records.

• Skill to analyze complex data and reports.

• Ability to sit for extended periods, with normal visual and hearing acuity and manual dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.

• Capability to lift, push, or pull weights between 10–20 pounds.
