Cash Posting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Receive, process, and reconcile payments from electronic funds transfers, paper checks, and credit card transactions.

• Accurately record payments and adjustments to patient accounts in accordance with payer regulations, internal protocols, and client-specific guidelines.

• Conduct daily balancing of designated client accounts.

• Reconcile transactions with bank statements and associated documentation.

• Identify and rectify discrepancies, including posting variances, missing payment details, misapplied funds, and other exceptions.

• Maintain timely and thorough documentation of posting activities, reconciliations, and variances.

• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and departments such as Billing, Payment Posting, and Client Support.

• Assist with bulk reconciliations, process enhancements, and onboarding projects for new clients.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Report to the Manager of the Cash Posting Department.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

• Prior experience in processing payments, reconciling accounts, or working in cash posting or revenue cycle positions is preferred.

• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to handle high-volume, deadline-oriented work.

• Proven capability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

• Professional, courteous, and positive attitude when engaging with clients, colleagues, and other departments.

• Ability to maintain composure and precision under pressure or during peak workflow periods.

• High computer literacy, including proficiency in navigating multiple systems and working with dual monitors.

• Strong follow-through and dedication to the accurate and timely completion of tasks.

• Solid mathematical skills and financial accuracy; adept at identifying and resolving numerical discrepancies.

• Reliable, punctual, and accountable, with a readiness to ask questions and seek clarification as needed.

• Quick learner with a keen attention to detail and a tendency to maintain organized, clean records.

• Capability to independently manage all facets of the job role, including meeting required goals and adhering to business practices in a remote setting.
