This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support to military spouses through the Military OneSource Military Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) Program.
• Ensure readiness in a dynamic contact center environment.
• Manage initial calls via live handoffs utilizing call center technology.
• Handle incoming live chat inquiries.
• Evaluate the needs of military spouses and supply tailored Government-approved resources.
• Offer education and career guidance.
• Suggest online and distance learning and training options.
• Inform spouses about financial assistance resources available to them.
• Aid spouses in understanding Federal, state, and local occupational licensing requirements.
• Provide credentialing details for specific career fields.
• Arrange career coaching sessions.
• Troubleshoot website access issues related to SECO programs.
• Assist in the administration of a Department of Defense military spouse scholarship program.
• Maintain the government-provided case management system, including spouse profiles and scholarship accounts.
• Connect military spouses with academic and employment opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience delivering high-quality, comprehensive educational, career, or employment advising or coaching to diverse adult populations.
• At least 3 years of experience in training development and delivery, public speaking, group presentations, and facilitation, preferably within adult education or medical/non-medical environments.
• 2 years of experience supervising or managing the delivery of social services and/or educational programs, systems, and services.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to U.S. Government systems.
• Home broadband internet service with upload and download speeds exceeding 3 Mb.
• Strong technological and research capabilities.
• Proficient in navigating multiple computer systems concurrently.
• Excellent communication skills and active listening abilities.
• Critical thinking skills necessary for connecting clients with relevant resources.
• Willingness to accommodate a full-time training schedule during the initial 6–8 weeks of employment.
• Must have a dedicated home office setup.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred: active certification through NAWDP, NBCC, or NCDA.
• Preferred: experience in contact center or educational service operations.
• Preferred: background as a Military member, Military Spouse, Veteran, or Wounded Warrior.
• Preferred: experience in a structured environment with set schedules.
• Preferred: ability to establish rapport remotely or virtually.
