This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Report directly to the CM Operations Manager while collaborating closely with Case Managers.
• Deliver reporting, care coordination phone calls, general customer support, and administrative assistance.
• Ensure accurate information is provided to callers and triage telephone calls for clinical consultation and Case Managers.
• Input claims data and uphold data integrity within the claims management system.
• Confirm and update service-provider, adjuster, and attorney information in the Ahshay database.
• Triage new Case Management referrals based on established client criteria, without conducting medical assessments.
• Transition suitable referrals to comprehensive Telephonic Case Management and assign them to designated Case Managers.
• Create and disseminate letters and reports in Ahshay in accordance with client guidelines and workflow.
• Assist clinical staff with scheduling, medical record requests, faxing, mailing/emailing educational materials, DME delivery coordination, and claims adjudication.
• Offer translation assistance to Case Managers as required.
• Interact in a professional manner with Case Managers, Adjusters, Employers, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• AS/AA degree or two (2) years of college education is preferred.
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology is highly preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers across all levels.
• Proficient computer skills and comfortable with MS Word, MS Excel, email, and internet usage.
• Basic clerical and administrative skills are required.
• Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in work tasks.
• Exhibit punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to sustain focus and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while being part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, time-sensitive atmosphere.
• Effective multitasking abilities.
• Capability to comprehend and execute written and oral instructions.
• Ability to sit and keyboard for the majority of an 8-hour workday.
• Manual dexterity is required.
• Ability to engage in telephone conversations intermittently throughout the day.
• Fluency in reading and writing in English is necessary.
• Ability to establish and confirm a secure, HIPAA-compliant home office.
