This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead customized account experiences tailored to the specific needs of each account and healthcare provider.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients.
• Establish meaningful relationships and identify common objectives.
• Facilitate solutions that connect clients to Novartis resources aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
• Balance demand generation with strategic account engagement efforts.
• Address and resolve account issues with personalized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that stimulate product demand and promote patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory colleagues, field teams, and home-office staff.
• Leverage market, competitive landscape, and cross-functional insights to foresee opportunities and challenges.
• Utilize territory data and market trends to reveal local insights and aid pull-through initiatives.
• Lead effective virtual and in-person customer interactions.
• Organize planning sessions with key stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally to tackle intricate customer issues.
• Provide real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services.
• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies for both virtual and in-person customer outreach.
• A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B sectors, or a similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• A proven history of consistently high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key clients.
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and apply pertinent information.
• Ability to exhibit ethical leadership and encourage ethical conduct and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Must live within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographical area.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the designated territory.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• For the associate level: recently transitioned from the U.S. Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership role or limited prior sales experience.
• For the territory level: a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• For the senior level: at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• For the executive level: a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment.
• Proficiency in communicating clinical product information.
• Customer-facing employees must adhere to customers’ credentialing requirements, which may necessitate vaccination.
