This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Drive and sustain sales of assigned United Therapeutics products within specified accounts and targeted healthcare professionals, focusing primarily on Remodulin.
• Oversee the designated geographic area and assigned accounts within the pulmonary arterial hypertension community.
• Market products in accordance with corporate guidelines and package inserts.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and specialty distributor personnel.
• Meet or surpass company-assigned objectives.
• Evaluate sales reports and formulate business plans to enhance sales performance.
• Create and execute strategies to boost sales in key accounts.
• Collaborate with regional business directors, medical science directors, cardiopulmonary specialists, and other field staff.
• Leverage available resources to enhance sales, education, and support initiatives.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the disease state, products, and competitive landscape.
• Utilize the sales force automation system for effective territory management and record-keeping.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including expense reports and call documentation.
• Adhere to commercial compliance, corporate, regulatory, and promotional standards.
• Manage expenses related to territory, travel, speaker programs, and home office operations.
• Attend local, regional, and national pulmonary arterial hypertension conferences and symposia.
• Participate in patient support group meetings following the Pulmonary Hypertension Association guidelines.
• Engage in sales and marketing project teams to develop programs and resources that enhance the sales and awareness of Remodulin, Orenitram, and Tyvaso.
• Execute any additional responsibilities as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in nursing or life sciences) or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceutical, or biotech industries successfully selling to specialist physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• At least 4 years of experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech sales.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience selling in institutional or major teaching center environments.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience in facilitating training workshops with new hires and/or colleagues at POA/Regional Meetings (Internal UT Employees Only).
• A minimum of 2 years as a successful Cardiopulmonary Specialist, consistently exceeding sales targets and demonstrating UT’s core competencies (Internal UT Employees Only).
• A valid in-state driver's license in good standing.
• Proven track record of sales excellence across multiple regions.
• Strong decision-making, planning, interpersonal, and territory management skills.
• Excellent execution of marketing strategies and effective use of marketing resources, including educational speaker programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across various departments.
• In-depth knowledge of UT products and services.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease therapeutic areas.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience selling pharmaceutical products through specialty pharmacies.
