Cambodian VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's ethical guidelines.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which you interpret (specifically healthcare and medical).

• Accurately convey all messages in their entirety without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Regularly communicate and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Cambodian".

• Over 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
