Call Center Counselor, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assist individuals receiving care by facilitating transitions throughout the care system.

• Act as a primary point of contact for incoming calls.

• Evaluate needs across mental health, medical, and social service areas.

• Initiate referrals to both internal and external service providers.

• Track progress towards personalized goals.

• Collaborate with individuals, care teams, and community partners to ensure prompt access to services.

• Provide support for residential admissions when suitable.

• Engage in supervision and team meetings.

• Employ person-centered, evidence-based best practices.

• Conduct needs assessments and utilize other relevant tools.

• Keep an up-to-date understanding of care partners, service providers, and system stakeholders.

• Work together on residential admissions through the bed registry and with external partners.

• Adhere to program, department, and company policies as well as behavioral competencies.

• Carry out other designated responsibilities as authorized by Human Resources and the Direct Supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

• A college degree in Human Services or a related field is strongly preferred.

• One year of work experience or engagement with individuals facing dynamic and complex behavioral health challenges is preferred.

• One year of community health experience or lived experience is preferred.

• Availability for part-time work.

• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including 7 AM–3 PM and every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
